Trafford Tory gets national coverage for 2nd vile tweet in months. Conservative councillor Matthew Sephton has been branded “vile” after proudly tweeting a “crass” poster mocking people who claim benefits. And the Stockport teacher also found himself in hot water last year for tweeting “disgusting” comments claiming migrants who refused to stay at refugee camps were “ungrateful”.
Cllr Sephton tweeted: “If migrants refuse to get off train at refugee camp they should be transported directly back from where they came #RefugeeCrisis #ungrateful.”
Whilst no Conservative Councillor was prepared to defend Cllr Sephton at the following Council meeting, no condemnation was forthcoming from his colleagues either.
