It’s now been revealed that a consortium of Manchester-based businessmen stepped in to buy the three-storey boozer

Landlord Andy Seale, 56, is back behind the bar and a launch evening is set to take place on Saturday. United also face Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday, traditionally one of the biggest games of the season.

Andy, 56, said the pub on Chester Road was hugely popular with locals and described it as a ‘focal point of the community.’ The Independent Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) was formed there in 1995.
