Angry shoppers claiming they were stuck in queues of up to THREE hours around the intu Trafford Centre took to social media sites to complain about the traffic chaos.
Delays close to the centre prompted angry tweets as people were stuck across the shopping site and unable to access main roads from the car parks.
Richard Paxton, general manager at intu Trafford Centre, said: “We’re very sorry to any of our shoppers who’ve experienced difficulty exiting the centre today. We are working incredibly hard to get traffic moving again and our staff are out in the car parks redirecting cars to the nearest clear exits.”
