The outdated Pacer trains used on our line, are one step closer to leaving the tracks for good - with a deal now signed for their replacement.
Arriva, which won the Northern franchise last month with a commitment to replace the Pacers by 2020, has ordered 281 carriages. The first of the new trains will be rolled out by October 2018.
