Landlord Tory MP Philip Davies says law requiring homes be fit for human habitation is an unnecessary burden

Thanks to Roger Jones for sharing this one. Roger has nailed this; it is shameful for a Conservative to be arguing that homes shouldn't have to be fit for human habitation; he's not untypical. We regularly hear equally reprehensible interventions from Tory Councillors here.

Fire at Jackson St, Stretford

Thankfully, the fire service were able to deal successfully with this fire. According to another resident, they were not helped by drivers on Barton Road.
Now driving home down Barton road I've just seen the two most selfish drivers in the world undertake a Fire Truck whilst the poor driver was trying to reverse or manoeuvre to attend what could possibly be a life threatening emergency.

Microchip your dog - or face a hefty fine
As pet owners welcome in the New Year, one of the biggest shake-ups is set to transform dog ownership in the next few months. First Home Match of 2016
Half a season has passed. Like United, there's been ok weeks for Amey, Trafford's contracted partner in its match-day clean up, and like United there's also been some dreadful weeks and dire excuses:
We were stuck in Traffic!
But it's a New Year and we're in forgiving mood. Louis Van Gaal might turn it around, and so might Amey. We don't want bins overflowing before the match starts and the clean-up post match is vital. But we also ask United fans: This neighbourhood has been United's home for 100 years, its players have lived amongst us, Please treat us with respect, and enjoy the game.
