Free Bike Safety Checks

Messenger
RECYCLE for Greater Manchester is partnering with Transport for Greater Manchester to encourage residents to donate their unwanted bikes to community bike re-use projects.
On average, people in Greater Manchester are throwing away 200 bikes every month.
There are a growing number of bike projects that will take old and unwanted bikes and bring them back to cycling life.
As part of the initiative, during Bike Week (June 16 - 24), free bike safety check sessions are being held in Trafford.
The sessions - run by the probation services project On Ya Bike - are on June 19, from 4.30pm-8.30pm at Old Trafford Youth Club, St Hilda’s Road, Old Trafford; June 20, 4.30pm- 8.30pm, Gorse Hill Studio, Cavendish Road; June 21, from 4.30pm – 8.30pm at Lostock Youth Club, Selby Road.
Anyone can bring along a bike for a free safety check, so it is fit for the summer or donate an unwanted bike for re-use.
